I was a KickStarter supporter of this glass. I used it a few times in Uzbekistan and found it lived completely up to its ravings.

Unfortunately, I lost it… 🙁 Need a replacement fast, since we are going to India and Morocco in February…

    Hi Ian,

Thank you for your smartphone Photography lesson. I’d love to see more of those shots you can take with you OnePlus since I’m a proud owner of an OnePlus 5 🙂

    Much love.

    Hello Dave,
I would like your opinion on what 50mm to get in a Nikon mount (I’ve got a D90).
I’ve heard the Nikon 50 f/1.8 (pancake, AI-S) is very good, but I was inclined to either the AI-s 50 f/1.2 or the Rokinon 50 f/1.4.
Any suggestion you could share on these last two lenses?
Thank you in advance, much appreciated.
    Kind regards.

I think the 1.2 would be a bad idea. It definitely has charm at it’s widest aperture but I don’t think its results would work for astro. I think the 1.4 or even f2 AIS would both be great, really looking good from f2 onwards (as does the 1.2 but it’s a lot of money to pay).
