UPDATE: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will no longer be able to host at Out of Moab 2020. The conference will still take place, albeit at a smaller scale. See the Out of Chicago website for more details. Original post below.
From September 13-17, 2020, we’ll set off on an adventure of learning and beautiful vistas across some of Utah’s most amazing National and State Parks — Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point.
The conference dates were strategically chosen by the Out of Chicago team for the cycle of the Moon and position of the Milky Way. During the conference, we’ll enjoy maximum darkness for astrophotography and the opportunity to shoot the Milky Way’s bright galactic center right after sunset each night.

We’ll hike to beautiful shooting locations at sunset and stay up late shooting astrophotography together. In the mornings and during the day, we’ll gather to review photos, learn new processing techniques, and listen to inspirational talks from masters of landscape and nightscape photography.
We’re super excited to be leaders at the conference alongside industry friends and creators who inspire us, including:
Eric Paré and Kim Henry
Jennifer Renwick
David Kingham
Chris Nicholson
Mike Taylor
Royce Bair
Ryan Smith
Gavin Hardcastle
Aaron King
Greg Benz
Mark Denney
Matt Payne
David Akoubian
