  1. I was looking at adaptors for this Cokin filter holder.
I am using Leica lenses and for my 50mm the diam. is 39mm.
Is there an adaptor that will fit this lens to the Cokin unit?
    Thanks,
    JB

  2. A Bahtinov Mask for drop in filter holders… very nice idea! It’s really annoying cutting one yourself and glueing it into a step-up-filter adapter.

So you’re working on a wide angle version, that’s good to know… are you planning on a 150mm version as well? Could be useful for the Rokinon 2.8/14mm, the Nikon 2.8/14-24mm or the 2.8/15-30mm Tamron

  3. These look great! I have a couple lenses I know this will work on but I’m curious if this would work on a Rokinon 16mm f2.0. The camera has an APS-C sensor so the lens focal length is the equivalent of 24mm. On the chart you display, 24mm at f2.0 is a “yes.”

    Thoughts?

    1. At the moment, I can’t recommend it for use on the 16mm/2. My compatibility chart does not refer to equivalents and a 16mm/2 is not recommended, unfortunately. That said, I’m working on a design I’m calling the SharpStarWide, specifically for wide angle lenses like the 16mm/2. I hope to have the design ready for shipping in January.

  4. From the picture, the quality looks great.
Genius design to attach to 100mm square filter. I guess this mask should also work well for city nightscape scenario where strong point light source and dark background in the same frame.
    I am getting one.

    1. It can work on most point light sources, as long as they are bright enough and small enough.

  5. This look really interesting. Will this work with the Fuji system and more specifically the Zeiss 12mm / Rokinon 12mm / Fuji 14mm lenses.

    1. At the moment, I can’t recommend it for use on really short lenses. That said, I’m working on a design I’m calling the SharpStarWide, specifically for wide angle lenses like the 12mm/2 and 14/2.8. I hope to have the design ready for shipping in January.

  6. I have been using these style masks for years on telescopes and camera lenses for night shots. They work well. Yours looks like a quality product and a needed item for anyone shooting stars.
